We are constantly adding new memorials to the website, which subscribers gain access to at no extra cost. We are currently concentrating on the United Kingdom, but will be adding more international records in the future.
It is worth stressing that a relative may appear on more than one war memorial but also on memorials far away from his home. Furthermore, although the list below is arranged by county (and countries abroad) many war memorials include men and women from other places than the location of the memorial.
For example, the three Royal Nay memorials to the missing (in Devon, Kent and Hampshire) include men and women from all over the United Kingdom (and also from Newfoundland and other parts of the world). A similar point applies to the RAF memorial to the missing at Runnymede in Surrey and to the Merchant and Fishing fleets memorial to the missing at Tower Hill in London.
Regimental memorials should also be noted. British regiments did recruit perhaps the majority of their soldiers from the counties in which the regiments were based but many men from other counties will also be found on them. The same point applies to the war memorials of railway companies, other businesses, schools and colleges
